1) Student Leaders Investiture 2017
16 February 2017
Term 1 Week 7
At the Student Leaders Investiture 2017, 19 EXCO Prefects took their pledge as Student Leaders along with 44 other P4 to P6 Prefects, as well as 40 CCA Student Leaders. Led by Tiew Yong Chee Kalvin (P6CO) as Head Prefect and, Darrel Neo Yuzhe (P6CO) and Alisha Hannah Binte Mohammed Affandi (P6ED) as Vice Head Prefects, the student leaders of 2017 pledge to serve the school to the best of their abilities through championing the school values, setting role models to their peers to emulate and working together towards excellence.
Extracted from the Head Prefect’s speech,
‘With great power, comes great responsibility”. Every student leader assumes their appointment with pride and is ready to repay the faith and belief given to each leader. Kalvin called for all student leaders to stay true to the principles of Student Leaders (Admiralty Primary School) with the focus to serve willingly through exemplary conduct in words and deeds.
With the programme and structure in place, the student leaders of 2017 will get to develop and exhibit their leadership competency through school and beyond-school platform. The school is confident that these young leaders will lead their charges with great commitment and be the ambassadors that best portray the traits of Admiralty Primary School students – good citizens and passionate learners.
Congratulations to all the appointed student leaders of 2017!

2) Community Outreach – PCF Buddy Reading (2017)
Our student leaders went out to various child care centres and became reading buddies with the little children there.
3) Singapore Kindness Movement (CANtribute)
During the period of CANtribute, our student leaders collected donations from their schoolmates, packed them nicely into bags and distributed these rations to families who need them.
4) Community Outreach – Environmental Support
Not only did our student leaders learn about the importance of water and how to conserve water in Singapore, they also taught children in various child care centres how they could contribute to water conservation as well!
5) Share-a-Pot 2017
Our student leaders show care for the people around them by taking part in the Share-a-Pot activities in and out of school.
6) Fairprice – Share a Textbook Launch 2017
Our school took part in collecting used textbooks for donation to families who cannot afford them. As a result, we were invited to the launch of the new app for the same purpose.
7) Student Leaders Training Workshop 2017
As excellent as our student leaders may be, they still need training to become better at what they do so that they can better serve their school and the community.
